Oh, what a year it has been… And we are just getting started! 2025 has been a true rollercoaster for us here at Nanoworx. As we wrap up our first full calendar year, we’d love to share some of the highlights of this incredible journey!
At the beginning of 2025, we were just five highly motivated people, in one office, a bunch of boxed equipment, and some lab space without benches. And now at the start of the new year, our team doubled in size, and we expanded to four offices to accommodate everyone. But most importantly, we are now the proud owners of a fully functional lab containing state of the art equipment to screen, optimize and analyze a wide range of nanomedicine platforms. What else did we do? We have executed our first commercial projects! All just within a year.
And we’re not just saying it; we’ve already validated four different nanoparticle platforms to prove it! One of these platforms has been validated to execute our first commercial project for our partner Trained Therapeutix Discovery. Stijn Hofstraat and Anne de Dreu worked hard in collaboration with Bas van Genabeek and Birgit Vos to deliver some amazing nanoparticles and libraries. We want to thank Trained Therapeutix Discovery for the opportunity to collaborate on their project and for the feedback they provided to improve our service!
And yes, that is right. We doubled the number of employees during 2025. We were joined by Nicholas Tito as our business developer. But we primarily grew our science team by welcoming Sjoerd Dijkstra, Annemiek Overwater, Anastasis Savellos and Isa Peeters! These additions have prepared us to take up all your scientific challenges in 2026.
And lastly, another milestone for the company has been reached. We have launched our brand-new website! In it you can find all the information on how we can help you to get your nanomedicine to the clinic faster!
Our website will feature a series of short nanoblogs—and this is the very first one! We’re excited to dive into topics relevant to the field of nanomedicine, share more company updates and stories on how we tackle our projects.
